J&K single-window portal, merging it with the national single-window system

J&K, the first state to join national single-window system

Lt Governor Manoj Sinha opened the J&K single-window portal, merging it with the national single-window system, making Jammu and Kashmir the first Union Territory to be merged with the national single-window system.

The Lt Governor stated that while 130 industrial services have been made available online through a single-window system, over 160 more services will be connected this year.

The Lt Governor claimed in a series of tweets that his administration is tying Jammu and Kashmir into a network of alliances with local and international businesses and assuring global best practices in "our regulatory institutions and system."

Mr. Sinha said, "In the last one year since the launch of the new Industrial development scheme, our policies have evolved to make Jammu and Kashmir more competitive and more lucrative for industries and service enterprises."

The Jammu and Kashmir government introduced a new industrial developmental scheme (IDS) in January last year, with a total budget of Rs 28,400 crore, to promote fresh investment and bring industrial development to the block level.

He further said, "After years of poor performance in industrialization, Jammu- Kashmir is at a new stage in its development trajectory. We are committed to strengthening the industrial ecosystem in a manner that the benefits percolate to all sections of our society in Jammu-Kashmir."

J&K is the first UT to be integrated with the National Single Window System, according to the Lt Governor.

He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for bringing industrial reforms to Jammu and Kashmir, saying that policies have evolved in the last year since the launch of the new industrial development scheme to make the Union territory more competitive and profitable for industries and service enterprises.

Mr. SInha further stated, "We are ensuring 'Ease of Doing Business & 'Ease of Living' through minimum regulatory compliance burden." "We are linking Jammu Kashmir into a web of partnership with the domestic and foreign companies and ensuring global best practices in our regulatory institutions and systems."

“We are also giving focused attention to the growth of dynamic sectors including real estate, horticulture, and tourism to create large employment opportunities,” he said.

"Now global investors may apply for all their business approvals in Jammu and Kashmir through the national single-window system," he added, calling the system a "historic move" to facilitate investment.

''We are linking the Union territory into a web of partnerships with domestic and foreign companies and ensuring global best practices in our regulatory institutions and systems,'' Mr. Sinha said.

''After years of poor performance in industrialisation, Jammu and Kashmir is at a new stage in its development trajectory. Focused attention is being given to the growth of dynamic sectors, including real estate, horticulture and tourism, so as to create increased employment opportunities,'' the Lt Governor said.

"The integrated single-window system will promote new investments locally and worldwide, either through the national single-window system or through the J&K single-window system," he said.

Thakur stated that as the nodal agency, the Department of Industries and Commerce will collaborate with all departments of the J&K administration to ensure successful implementation of the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) 2022 and Regulatory Compliance Burden (RCB) 2022.
